Beginner's Guide 2026 - Seven Knights Idle Adventure
Welcome to this updated 2026 guide for Seven Knights Idle Adventure. Our goal is to provide you with an effective method to get a good start and rush to the end-game.
Disclaimer: This guide is just a subjective opinion, made by a completely F2P player. It is likely that these tips may not be 100% suitable for your playstyle.

Key Points
- From day one, unlock as many game modes as possible
- Manage your rubies efficiently (even more so if you are F2P)
- Gold is one of the most important resources
- Join a guild with at least 20 members as soon as possible
The Basics
Seven Knights Idle Adventure is an idle farming game, meaning: when you are offline, you continue to accumulate resources. So each day, you use the resources collected the previous day to progress in the game.
Game Objective
The game is an RPG. You will need to summon heroes to create different formations to progress in the game. The first goal is to progress through stages by facing a boss.
Is the Game F2P Friendly?
The short answer: Yes, especially at the beginning.
The premium currency in the game is rubies. At the beginning of the game, you will be flooded with rubies because you receive 500
per stage cleared. And since the game is over 2 years old, you have over 50,000 stages to complete.
However, this abundance will slow down once you are near the end-game where progression is slower.
Stages
Each stage has 2 game modes: one where you face mobs infinitely, and another where you face the stage boss to move to the next one.

Boss fight stage
Standard mob fighting allows you to earn experience, gold, and resource chests.
Each stage consists of a boss (one or multiple enemies) that you must defeat within a time limit.
Why Complete Stages
- Progress through quests to earn rubies + hero tickets
- Unlock game modes up to 22,000
- Unlock Hero slots up to 15
- More online and offline rewards
Our goal is to clear as many floors as possible from day one to get closer to 3,201 and unlock equipment dungeon.
Dishes
To boost stats in adventure, you can use dishes. Regarding stats, dishes are not stackable. Taking more will only increase the buff duration.
Dishes increase the following stats:
- Final attack +15% & Attack speed +15%
- Final HP, defense, movement speed, and accuracy by 15%
- Critical hit rate and final crit damage +15%
To get all stats, take each of the 3 green dishes or one blue dish.
Beginner tip: Save and only use your dishes against bosses.

Heroes
Heroes are the lifeblood of the war and are used in all modes with combat. The goal of the game is to get most heroes and prioritize leveling up the strongest ones.
How to Get Heroes
Heroes can be obtained in different ways. Generally, they are obtained using the summoning system. You also get hero cards, legendary hero summon tickets, and even selection tickets during your adventure.
Important Stats to Know
| Stat | Description |
|---|---|
| Attack | Allows your heroes to deal more damage |
| HP | Increases your heroes' health |
| Defense | Reduces damage taken, except from attacks that ignore defense |
| Accuracy | The opposite of dodge - prevents the target from evading |
| Dodge | Increases your chance to dodge - opposite of accuracy |
| Crit Rate | The percentage chance to inflict critical damage |
| Crit Dmg | Based on crit rate to inflict critical damage |
| Crit Resistance | Reduces the probability of the hero taking a critical hit |
| Attack Speed | Increases attack speed |
| Weakness Damage | Additional damage that can be triggered after an attack. Deals 1.5x additional damage |
| Damage Bonus | Another source of additional damage that can be triggered after an attack |
| Vital Damage | A new source of damage that ignores evasion and deals 1.3x additional damage |
More information in the stats guide.
Skills
Each hero has a basic attack, a critical attack, and an active skill. Attack frequency is based on the hero's attack speed.
Each skill has a range and cooldown time displayed in the top right.
The basic attack is in most cases a brute attack that deals a percentage of attack damage.
The critical hit attack only triggers when your hero has landed a critical hit.

Melia Critical hit Attack
The active skill is the cooldown-based attack that has the biggest damage output in a short time (in the majority of cases).

Melia Active Skill
Each skill brings different mechanics that influence combat. They are classified into different families:
Buffs
A buff boosts one or more of your heroes' stats for a set time. A buff can be cast on yourself or on the entire team.
Note: This distinction is extremely important because team buffs for the same stat are not stackable with each other. Only a self-buff stacks with a team buff.
Example: In our team, we take 2 heroes, Rosie and Radius, whose skills Holy Prayer and Fodina's Storm boost the team's critical rate. These are team buffs, so they are not stackable. They will only get 24% critical rate.
Now if we add a hero like Erin, she has a self-buff Spread that increases her critical rate. The self-buff stacks with the team buff, so Erin will get 120% + 24% critical rate.
Debuffs
Debuffs decrease an enemy's stats.
Example: Light of Harmony Reginleif and her debuff "Rift in Darkness" applying "Decreases Critical Hit Rate by 24%. Decreases final Defense by 50%."
Damage Over Time (DoTs)
DoTs deal damage over time. There are currently 6 types:
- Bleed
- Burn
- Poison
- Frostbite
- Corrosive
- Disintegration
Note: Some heroes' skill damage can increase if their target suffers from different debuffs.
Example: Trude with her skill "Skill damage increases by 30% multiplicatively for each of the following debuff types applied to the target: Bleed, Burn, and Disintegration."
Damage Boost Based on Target
Heroes can have damage boosted based on their target.
Example: Nadan and his critical attack "Increases final damage by 300% when attacking a Boss in Chaos Ruins or Guild Boss Battle."
Controls
Heroes can also apply controls to reduce mobility, attack capability to nothing.
Like Michaela and her chill: "Unable to attack, move, and skills become unavailable."
Immunities / Auras
A skill can provide an aura or immunity on yourself or on allies that applies as long as the hero is alive.
Example: Rauha who provides immunity to Stun and Knock Back.
Stars
A hero's stars boost your hero's stats and allow you to unlock even more improvements.
- 1 to 7 stars - Potential
- 8 stars - Advanced potential
- 1 to 6 stars - Accessories
- 1 to 6 stars - Equipment

A hero with 7 stars
To gain a star on a hero, you need to find copies of the same hero. To unlock the first star, you need 3 copies of the hero, and each new star requires 1 additional hero copy.
Example: 1 star = 3 copies, 2 stars = 4 copies... up to 10 stars = 12 copies
Potential
Potentials are additional stat lines specific to each hero and start being unlocked from 1 star. You must use dices to unlock a random stat per line.

Which Trait to Choose?
For beginners, if you have problems with boss dodge, put all your traits in accuracy.
From mid-game when you no longer have any dodge problems, you should change your traits to critical rate.
Because 100% critical rate is not enough in the game. Bosses, especially those at the end-game, have critical hit rate resistance. You need to prepare for this constraint.

Critical hit rate resistance on boss
However, for heroes with a passive boosting critical like Blanc and Erin, you can focus on damage with attack or crit damage.
Awakening
Once some heroes reach level 100, they can continue their progression and become awakened. See the list of heroes that can be awakened.
Awakening gives them a stat boost and evolves their critical and active attacks. During awakening, the hero returns to level 1 and can be leveled up to level 50.
Note: An awakened hero, even at level 1, is much more interesting than their normal version at level 100.

More information in the full article about awakening.
Hero Costumes
Costumes provide an attack, HP, and defense bonus. From a pure optimization perspective, I do not recommend buying costumes. The bonus they provide is totally negligible compared to the price.
However, from an aesthetic point of view, it is up to you to judge if it is worth it.
Team Formations
To create a solid team, we base ourselves on the "Core Buff Recommendations" and try to have a team with as many of these buffs/debuffs as possible.
How to Find Heroes - Hero Filter
To compose and easily find heroes outside the game, you can use the hero list on the site. Otherwise, a Hero filter is present directly in the formation interface.

Hero filter display
Here is how the hero filter works:
| Buff Type | Target | Explanation |
|---|---|---|
| Stat boost | Self or Allies | Buffs applied by your allies (ex: Attack increase, Defense Increase...) |
| Stat decrease | Single or multiple enemies | Debuffs applied by your heroes (ex: Evasion decrease, Accuracy Decrease...) |
| Damage increase | No target | Damage boosts applied by a hero based on target or status on target (ex: Damage increase in Nightmare, Dot increase burn...) |
| Crowd control | Single or multiple enemies | Different types of control. Note that buff removal is considered a control. |
| Utility | Self or Allies | All immunities and defensive capabilities (shield, veil...) and special abilities like ignore defense |
| Damage over time | Single or multiple enemies | The 6 applicable DoTs in the game |
| Special synergy | Self or Allies | Here you can select the special debuff overload or strengthening buff stacks |
It is possible to combine filters: For example, you can search for a hero applying 2 specific buffs to their team.
Which Heroes to Unlock First
As a beginner, the priority is to build an effective team to defeat bosses. Your first team will be formed from heroes given during stage progression: Teo, Magic Society Elke, Karma...
Then you need to get a hero applying the evasion reduction debuff. For other debuffs/buffs, the legendary heroes given have them.
More information in the strategy section.
Team for Passing Bosses
Priority: High
As a beginner, prefer a classic team: Tank/Healer and DPS. Otherwise, opt for a team with crowd control and only DPS.
I do not really have a preference because healers/tanks still do good damage in this game.
Here is an example of an effective beginner team that does not require a big investment:
In this article more information about stage team can be found.
Farming Team
Priority: Low
The farming team is essential for efficiently farming monster research. The strategy is simple: you need the best movement speed possible and big AOE damage.
To begin with, once you have unlocked them, add Jiangshi Pooki to your team and set the camera to Jack. Their movement speed will save you time when farming.
Getting Stuck on Stages
For bosses that apply veil
Veil is a stackable buff that cancels damage received from an attack. One stack is lost each time you take a hit.
Manually control your heroes' movement. Approach the boss until it launches its skill. Once launched, move your heroes back and wait for the veil to be removed, then approach to launch the attack.
With this technique, the timer does not trigger and you avoid losing damage in the veil.
Otherwise, now that most bosses in stages no longer have control resistance, you can full control them and they will never launch veil.
Problems with Dodge
If the boss dodges a large number of your attacks, you need to boost your accuracy. At the beginning, it can be quite complicated to have adequate accuracy against the boss.
Accuracy is the opposite of evasion - it prevents the target from evading. It is important to note that when the target dodges an attack:
- In the case of a critical skill attack, it cannot be critical.
- The attack is not successful, so all skills with the mention "successful attack" will not have their bonus applied.
This is a stat to prioritize to pass bosses in the story without any problems.
You will need against bosses:
- A hero that applies an evasion debuff
- A hero boosting your accuracy

Boss stats with an decrease evasion debuff
Simply, when you are stuck, you can wait and come back tomorrow to progress. Your progression will be through your assiduity in collecting rewards each day. It is a long-term game.
Guild
From stage 361, join a guild with at least 20 members to participate in the boss, and later in guild wars.

Gacha
The summoning system is based on a level system with different banner types.
It' starts at level 1 and can be raised up to level 10. Levels are raised by summoning, the higher your level, the better your chances of getting a legendary hero.
Standard Summon
Never use your rubies for this. Spam your hero summon tickets until you reach the maximum invocation level 10.

Once you have reached the maximum level, or at least as late as possible, you can start summoning other banners that require rubies.
Limited Banner
Unlocks at invocation level 6. Allows you to summon a hero, hero cards, or hero selection from a list.
For hero summons, 2 banner types are available: banners up to 10,000 points and banners up to 20,000 points. 1 point is attributed per hero summon.
For each step of points acquired, one or more hero cards are given to you.
For 10,000 banners, in general you have 2 pages: meaning once you reach 10,000, rewards and your score reset, and you can continue summoning.

To manage your resources well, especially if you are F2P, my advice would be to have enough rubies to complete a banner at maximum:
- Have 1 million
for 10,000 banners - 2 million
for 20,000 banners
Otherwise, you will miss out on too many hero cards. It is better to skip a hero when you do not have enough rubies and wait for the next hero.
Obviously, in certain cases when the hero is broken/game changer, you can consider pulling even without being able to go to the end.
Example at Gelidus release: I could only get one with one star, but it dealt as much damage as my other heroes at 7-8 stars.
Premium Hero Summon
Same heroes as in standard summon but with 10 times more chance to get a legendary. Only do this when invocation level is at 10.
Summon possible only with premium hero summon tickets.

Beginner Summon
When you start the game, during your adventure you will unlock 3 types of beginner banners. Take advantage of them because once finished, they do not come back.
More information about these banners in the strategy section.
Tips for Getting Rubies
Take note that at the beginning of the game, rubies are not a problem. You unlock more than necessary because you get 500
for each stage cleared, and you have over 2 years of "stages to catch up" on.
However, as soon as you reach mid-game/end-game, where it becomes harder to climb stages or even when you have finished all stages, your ruby acquisition will be greatly impacted. It will become complicated to get 2 million rubies every 2 weeks to fully complete a banner.
Prepare for this by saving and spending your rubies carefully on powerful heroes.
To get rubies, start by doing all the daily and weekly content:
- Climb stages in adventure
- Arena ranking rewards
- Pet talk
- Level up hero for codex
- Mirage Tower
- Dreamy Labyrinth Rank reward
- Chaos Ruins Group rank reward
- Event Terra Magazine
- Daily and weekly missions
- Lucky Wheel season 3
- Library
- Daily stage reward
- Stage Race
Dungeon Tips
In each daily/special dungeon, you have the option to watch an ad to unlock additional entries.
1 additional entry for each dungeon except for daily dungeons where you can unlock 3 entries.
Unless you pay and have unlocked the ad-free pass, then you will have access to all additional entries without watching ads.
If you have not, I advise you to watch ads following this priority list of entries to unlock. Otherwise, your progression will be slowed:
- 1. Chaos Ruins (best for getting gold)
- 2. Equipment Dungeon (Better equipment = Better heroes = Faster progression)
- 3. Abyss expedition (To awaken your heroes faster)
- 4. Tower of ascension (Recommended until you unlock all towers, less profitable because at the end it is a reroll game. Too based on RNG)
- 5. Daily Dungeons (At the beginning of the game, it is really effective to progress quickly if you have no dungeon keys. From mid-game, it is much less profitable)

Stage Race
From stage 401, each time you climb a stage in adventure, you enter a stage race. You face up to 100 other players for 2 days.

You are ranked according to the number of stages cleared. The higher you finish before the time limit, the more interesting the rewards.
Note: From 30th place, you start earning rubies.
There are 2 strategies: either you rush stages and aim for the best place you can.
Or you anticipate that your number of rubies will progressively decrease, and therefore try to finish as close to 30th place as possible. This allows you to to get rubies by passing the least stages possible.
Because remember, once all stages are cleared, you can only participate in stage race once every 2 weeks. And you will face the strongest players on your server, and it will be much more complex to make a top 30.
Research Essence
Unlocked at stage 401.
Raising your research essence levels is important, especially for unlocking gold and XP bonuses. These work online and offline, so they are very important to collect.
Level up at least those giving gold and XP bonuses. The other levels are less important.

To do this, you must farm online. Choose the chapter that drops the resources you are looking for, and equip your farming team.
To go even faster, I advise you to watch ads in the "Daily dishes" window:
The 4th dish "Hell Gratin" gives you a chance to drop increased chests by 100% for 8 hours.
Plus, raising research levels gives you access to Four Leaf Clover (usable in the lucky wheel) and legendary hero summon tickets.
Pets
Even though summoning and upgrading pets is important for:
- Increasing stats
- Gaining resources in Rainbow Mine
- Gaining star shards in Pet Ranch
You should not spend rubies to summon them. This resource is too important. It is much more profitable to use rubies to summon heroes or awaken them.
Elke's Cauldron
As soon as you can accumulate more experience than necessary to level up your heroes. Exchange your extra XP for Hero Strengthening Stones: 700M XP for 100K stones, 3M stones max.

This allows you to increase your heroes' maximum level up to 100.
As soon as you unlock ancient relic: To progress faster in relics, exchange your ancient relic shards into ancient traces.
Also exchange collab hero equipment that you do not have for combat tokens. They will allow you to recreate chests in the equipment dungeon.
Challenger Pass
Challenger Pass is a temporary event. You face multiple enemy fights and win rewards for each victory. For each victory, a free resource tier is available and a paid tier purchasable with rubies.
Warning: In 95% of cases, the ruby tier is not worth it (unless you are a whale).
When to buy the ruby tier?
I advise you to buy it in only 3 cases: for gold, for destiny cards, or for hero cards of a powerful hero (selection or guaranteed hero).
Mailbox
You get 3,000
on weekdays and 5,000
on weekends if you log on from 6pm-9pm (your phone's clock).
Strategy to Start Well
1. Take the free anti-ad pass for 2 days in the shop
You will also unlock all dish bonuses for 2 days.

2. Only level up legendary heroes (at the beginning)
Because you will receive them for free (even without gacha) by clearing stages. From the beginning of the game, you receive a lot of hero experience. When a legendary hero joins your formation, level them to at least 50.
Level up heroes in a distributed way, but always prioritize Magic Society Elke. Because thanks to the event "New Commander Awakening Support Pass", after the 7th day, you are guaranteed to have her awakened.
The only prerequisite for awakening will be having Magic Society Elke at level 100.
3. For summoning, spend all your summon tickets (not your rubies)
In the "New Commander special summon" banner until you get the 5,000 points to retrieve the 5 heroes.
Then change to standard summoning banner, which allows you to have a chance to unlock any hero, unlike the welcome one.

Global note on summons: As long as you are not stuck in stages and have guides or rewards to get, do not spend rubies on summons. Wait as long as possible because the higher your summoning level, the more profitable summons will be.
Note that the heroes from the "New Commander special summon" banner are powerful, and you can use them in your team. They are even meta in end-game in some game modes.
Tip: Remember to check the Mission tab regularly to collect your hero summon tickets.
4. We proceed through the stages up to the 400th.
At stage 150, we unlock the infinite tower. Advance until you are blocked, then return when you are stronger.
There are loads of progression resources to collect.
At stage 400, we unlock stage boost, which allows us to advance 2 to 12 stages each time we defeat a boss

5. Focus up to stage 1,000 to unlock Tower of Ascension
Launch a run to unlock the level VII hero selection ticket. Open it and choose Celine as your hero. Thanks to her self-buff crit + allied crit buff, this allows you to greatly increase your criticals even with under-leveled heroes.
6. At stage 1,001, you unlock the "Brand New Commander Welcome Rate Up Summon" banner
Unfortunately, the choice of heroes is not selective. This banner is only interesting if you are stuck and the current hero banner is not a DPS.
Because honestly, new heroes in 90% of cases are always very powerful or completely broken.
So if you are stuck, it is better to summon on the new hero.

Take your time because at stage 3001, you unlock a summon banner with the same heroes but it is selective.
More information on the banner
7. From stage 1,000, it will quickly become necessary to get a hero applying evasion reduction
Depending on your luck and available events, you will have more or less difficulty getting one.
Unlock at least one of these heroes: Elenia, Alph, Radgrid, Platin, Xiang Yu, or Soi.
8. The next goal is to unlock Fame as quickly as possible (stage 2,401)
Which gives you access to the High Lord and the best stat buff. For this mode, I advise you to choose between these 2 High Lords:
- High Lord Teo: Excellent PVP and PVE, boosts heroes' critical attacks
- or High Lord Sun Wukong: Good PVP and excellent PVE, very good synergy with heroes applying strengthening buffs
The goal is to pass it at 10 stars and then focus on increasing Fame levels.
9. At stage 3,001, you unlock the "New Commander Exclusive Selected Rate Up Summon" banner
Here you can and should summon on it. The heroes present in this banner are excellent and will follow you throughout the adventure. This banner unlocks several times as you progress: 3,001, 6,001, 9,001, and 12,001.
I would start by unlocking:
If at this stage you still do not have a hero to reduce boss evasion, Elenia becomes priority #1 to get. Very good utility hero with the overload debuff and defensive capabilities (veil and shield).
Otherwise:
- Erin: Best DPS and does not need to be built in critical thanks to her self-buff. This makes her exceptional for starting.
- Juri: Big DPS just below Erin, but top in PVP/PVE.
- Teay or Agni: 2 huge DPS based on overload debuff.
- Ecila or Devi: Preference for Ecila to have the overload debuff in her team.
The other heroes are very good but most of them need to be awakened to be meta.
More information on the banner
10. The next milestone to reach is stage 20,000
At this stage, you unlock hard boss challenge and insignias.

At this level, you are on a good start to continue progression and climb stages.
What to Do After Unlocking All Game Modes
As soon as you have unlocked all game modes, your goal is to maximize your teams to unlock as many rewards as possible in each of them. This will then allow you to progress in adventure until you clear all stages and unlock Nightmare mode and then Deep Nightmare mode.
Conclusion
Thank you for taking the time to read this guide. I hope it helped you progress without being overwhelmed by information.
Remember that the guide remains subjective, and above all, Seven Knights Idle Adventure is a game.
Play how you feel and in a way that is fun for you 😉
