Abyss Expedition - Seven Knights Idle Adventure
Abyss Expedition is an end-game challenge in Seven Knights Idle Adventure that allows you to collect ego stones to awaken your heroes.

How to Unlock
Abyss Expedition is unlocked after clearing stage 8,001.
How It Works
Abyss Expedition has 3 difficulty levels: Easy, Hard, and Very Hard. According to the difficulty level, you send 1, 2, or 3 teams to face 5 bosses one after another.
- Easy = 1 team
- Hard = 2 teams
- Very Hard = 3 teams
The higher the difficulty level, the stronger the bosses will be.
The final goal is to kill all 5 bosses with each of your formations. If you do, you unlock the next difficulty level.
Bosses must be killed before a global timer runs out. You also get extra time if you kill a boss quickly.
Each boss has different skills and they change every 2 weeks.
The particularity is that you choose the position of the bosses you face. Note that with each boss defeated, the next one sees its stats increased.
The choice is therefore crucial.

Additionally, you get a bonus per team based on the total number of awakened hero stars in your team. For every 5 stars, you gain 5% final ATK, DEF, and HP.
Example: In my team, I have awakened Rachel at 7 stars and awakened Karma at 6 stars, for a total of 13 stars. My team will therefore have a bonus equivalent to 10 stars, so 10% ATK, DEF, and final HP.

PS: For those of you who have been playing longer, you will recognize the basics of the old Boss Rush game mode (today removed from the game). We can see this as a V2 of that mode.
Each day, you get one entry to fight monsters with your teams. An additional entry is available through ads.
According to my opinion, getting an extra entry is as important as Chaos Ruins, otherwise you will see your hero awakening progression divided by 2.
Rewards
The more bosses you defeat, the higher your score and the more ego stones you earn. For every 1,000 score, you get 10 ego stones.
As a reminder, ego stones allow you to awaken your heroes.
Strategy
Your priority will be to go from Easy to Very Hard to get more rewards. However, when you are stuck, you will need to build a specific team and choose bosses in a precise order to maximize your points.
When you are in a perspective of earning ego stones and not passing difficulty: It is important to note that you must build homogeneous teams because the points from the first boss are higher than the other bosses.
It is therefore preferable, for example in Very Hard, to kill the first boss with each team than to kill 4 bosses with one team and 0 in the others.
To give you an idea: the first boss of Very Hard gives 750k points while the 2nd gives only 50k.
Boss Selection
When you want to pass difficulty, I advise you to put the harder bosses at the beginning (critical hit rate resistance or divide by 3). Because a strong boss at the end with boosted stats will be much more difficult to defeat.
Otherwise, to maximize the number of points, highlight the weakest bosses (those without skills). Because as seen before, a good part of the points is made on the first boss.

My Teams
Before presenting my teams, it is important to note that like other end-game game modes: The bosses have critical hit rate resistance. You will therefore need:
- Put your heroes on critical hit rate potential
- Take a hero applying -36% critical rate resistance like awakened Kyle or Cat Mage Lucia
- Have a hero applying the team buff that increases critical hit rate by 36% like awakened Rachel or Siris

Easy Difficulty
Strategy: All in the same team
The strategy is quite simple since there is only one team to create. All your best DPS heroes in the same team with all possible buffs and overload.
Note: Without awakened heroes, even this difficulty is complicated because you will have no additional attack boost.
Hard Difficulty
Strategy: Balanced team with defensive capabilities
From the Hard level, bosses deal much more damage than in Easy. You must therefore pay attention to your defense, especially the boss applying DoT debuffs.
Also beware of damage if you do not have a hero with veil.
In each team, we therefore take tanks, healers, and heroes applying veil. So in each team, we need either Arang, Restia, or Ecilia for veil.
As for the tank, the best option would be awakened Karma or Radgrid, which remains a good option but a little less effective.
Very Hard Difficulty
Strategy: Aim for maximum points
At this difficulty level, bosses deal even more damage. From the 2nd boss, hero survival becomes complex.
We therefore need a team with huge damage while maintaining excellent survival.
Do not expect to defeat all 5 bosses easily. You will need in each team all awakened heroes with huge stats. Personally, I currently manage to kill 2 bosses with each team.
As with Hard difficulty, we keep the same heroes for veil: Restia, or Ecilia. And the same tanks: awakened Karma or Radgrid.
In terms of damage, my team consists of the current biggest DPS in the game: Erin, Luna, Lucia...
Conclusion
This game mode is one of the most important, allowing you to awaken your heroes. You must therefore prioritize it and try to regularly progress in difficulty.
