Special Dungeon - Seven Knights Idle Adventure

Special Dungeons in Seven Knights Idle Adventure are essential content to progress quickly.
Unlike daily dungeons, they unlock new key rewards such as equipment, resources to awaken your heroes, and even large amounts of standard resources.

A New Way to Play - Special Dungeons

The first Special Dungeon you unlock is Chaos Ruins, available starting from stage 801.

Unlike daily dungeons where progression is permanent, Special Dungeons operate on a rotation system lasting one week or one month.
Once the rotation ends, your progress resets and you start over from zero.

Exception: the Equipment Dungeon works differently.
It functions more like a daily dungeon but features a single boss fight that changes with each rotation.

What Are Special Dungeons For?

Special Dungeons are essential to improve your heroes:

  • Obtain equipment for your heroes
  • Access Ego Stones to awaken heroes
  • Gain massive amounts of gold to progress faster

Additionally, some modes like Chaos Ruins include a ranking system, allowing you to earn rubies every week depending on your position.

General Strategies

At this stage of the game, you will start engaging in battles using multiple teams.

ModeTeams RequiredResetPriority
Chaos Ruins2 teamsWeekly⭐⭐⭐⭐
Equipment dungeon1 team by bossWeekly⭐⭐⭐⭐
Abyss Expedition1-3 teamsMonthly⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Important: Progression shifts significantly here.
Building only 10 to 15 heroes will no longer be enough.

In the end-game, especially when unlocking the highest difficulty of Abyss Expedition, you may need up to 45 fully built heroes across multiple balanced teams.

Early Game Strategy

Focus on building one functional team of 10 to 12 heroes.
You can already prepare additional heroes that will be useful for the Equipment Dungeon: one team veil buffer and one bleed heros.

Having extra heroes is important because some units (for example burn-type heroes) are not effective against bosses like Sandworm.

Example Early-game Team Seven Knights Idle AdventureExample Early-game team

You can use the same main team for Chaos Ruins and fill the second team with weaker units.
This is not an issue because rewards are based on cumulative scores — even if your second team scores "0", you can still earn rewards.

Once you unlock Abyss Expedition, start preparing more heroes.
Each team can include up to 15 heroes, and your goal is to progress as far as possible in the first difficulty.

Mid Game Strategy

At this stage, you reach the second difficulty of Abyss Expedition.
You can no longer rely on a single team.

You will need multiple balanced teams, or at least one strong team capable of defeating the first boss.

These same teams can also be used to improve your performance in Chaos Ruins.

At this point, you should be able to reach around Tier 30 on each boss in the Equipment Dungeon.

End Game Strategy

Your final goal is to unlock the highest difficulty in Abyss Expedition.

You will need three equally strong teams to defeat at least the first boss.

For Chaos Ruins, focus on building your two best teams using your top DPS heroes.

Which Dungeon Should You Prioritize?

In practice, you should complete all Special Dungeons every day.
If you are free-to-play, it is highly recommended to watch ads to gain additional entries.

However, the most important teams to build are for Abyss Expedition.
This mode is key to awakening your heroes and reaching end-game content.

With strong Abyss teams, other dungeons will become significantly easier.
