What is Seven Knights Idle Adventure ?
Seven Knights Idle Adventure is a mobile idle RPG developed by Netmarble, available on both iOS and Android. It is based on the original Seven Knights universe, a beloved franchise that has been running since 2014. This idle spin-off takes the franchise's iconic heroes and reimagines them in a more relaxed, strategy-focused format where your team fights automatically while you optimize, upgrade, and plan.
At its core, the game is a gacha-driven idle RPG: you summon heroes, form teams of up to five characters per battle slot, and progress through a campaign of over 50,000 stages. What makes it stand out from other idle games is the depth of its team-building system — hero synergies, position placement, and hero builds all matter significantly as you reach the mid and late game.
💡 The game rewards both casual players (who log in once or twice a day to collect idle rewards) and dedicated players (who invest time in optimizing hero potentials, dungeon strategies, and guild war content).
When you are offline, your team continues to fight and accumulate gold, heros experience, and chest drops. This idle loop is the backbone of progression: log in, collect your rewards, make strategic upgrades, and push further into the campaign. Over time, you will unlock increasingly complex game modes — from Nightmare mode to the Abyss expedition.

How to get started
If you are just starting out, the game can feel overwhelming with its many systems. Here is a simplified roadmap to get you on the right track:
Early game priorities
- Focus on leveling up a single main team rather than spreading resources across many heroes.
- Complete the main campaign stages to unlock game modes and resources as quickly as possible.
- Do your daily dungeons, special dungeons and daily events every day — they are the main source of upgrade materials.
- Participate in any active events to earn summon tickets and limited ressources.
- Collect pets as soon as they are available — even low-rarity pets provide significant passive bonuses.
- Join an active guild to access guild bosses and dominion war rewards.
Mid game priorities
- Start rolling unique rarity potentials on your core heroes to significantly increase their combat effectiveness. You will 90% of the time roll for a critical hit rate stats: more informations on the potentials guide.
- Begin the build-up of two strong teams to face the Abyss expedition.
- Work toward unlocking Nightmare mode — this is the first true endgame content and the gateway to top-tier rewards.
- Continue awakening your top heroes to unlock powerful stat bonuses and greater skill abilities.
Endgame priorities
- Deep Nightmare mode requires highly optimized team compositions — study hero synergies carefully.
- Hard Boss Challenges require specific counter-strategies — these are covered in detail in our guide.
- Unlock the hardest difficulty in the Abyss expedition to increase your ego stone earnings.

Hero tier overview
Not all heroes are equal in Seven Knights Idle Adventure. The meta shifts with each major update, but some characters consistently stand out due to their high base stats, versatile kits, or powerful awakening bonuses.
Here is a general overview of the tier structure — for a full updated list, visit our Hero tier List.
| Tier | Description | Recommended for |
|---|---|---|
| S | Top-tier meta heroes with outstanding damage, support, or survivability. Often the foundation of competitive teams. | All content — stages, Nightmare, Tower, PvP |
| A | Strong heroes that perform reliably in most game modes. Excellent if you lack S-tier options. | Stages, dungeons, casual PvP |
| B | Situationally useful heroes. May excel in specific dungeon or boss encounters. | Niche use cases, early-to-mid game |
| C | Heroes that have fallen out of the meta. Use only if no better option is available. | Not recommended for investment |
| D | Heroes who cannot be played, investment for codex only. | Never put on the team |
All game modes explained
Seven Knights Idle Adventure offers a wide variety of content to keep players engaged at every stage of progression. Here is a quick overview of the main game modes:
Main campaign
The primary content of the game. Progress through stages in different regions, each with increasing difficulty. Completing stages unlocks new features and is required to access most endgame content. It also increases both online and offline farming rewards. Currently exceeds 50,000 stages.
Daily dungeons
Five different dungeons that rotate daily, each dropping specific upgrade materials. Completing these every day is essential for long-term progression. Higher difficulty dungeons yield other rewards. See our Daily Dungeon Guide for optimal team setups.
Special dungeons
Rotation dungeons that offer ego stones, massive gold and heros equipment. Team composition matters significantly here — certain heroes and synergies are far more effective than others.
Nightmare mode
The first true endgame challenge. Nightmare mode introduces mechanics that require coordinated team builds and a deep understanding of hero abilities. Unlocking it requires completing the main campaign up to the latest stage.
Deep Nightmare
The most challenging version of Nightmare mode. Only players with heavily invested rosters and optimized strategies can clear the deepest floors. It is the primary source of elexirs.
Infinite Tower
A vertical tower with thousands of floors, each introducing different enemy compositions and modifiers. Progress as far as possible to earn permanent rewards. Hero Summon tickets, Dice, Rainbow Ore...
Tower of Ascension
A prestige-level tower that tests the absolute limits of your roster. Build floors to gain passive stats and battle your way through the tower to claim some great weekly rewards.
Guild content
Guild wars allow coordinated attacks with up to three teams of 15 heroes. Guild bosses offer unique mechanics that reward preparation and boss analysis. Joining an active guild dramatically accelerates your progression.
PvP (Arena)
Solo PvP where your team battles other players' setups automatically. Building a strong defense while optimizing your attack team is key to climbing the rankings.
Top tips for Seven Knights Idle Adventure
Resource management
- Never spend premium currency (Rubies) on the standard summon. Use them on limited banner.
- Prioritize spending your resources on legendary heroes who can be awakened.
- Do not rush to roll legendary potentials on heroes — keep at unique rarity and wait for the end-game for the legendary one.
- Event login bonuses and event dungeon are often the best source of free summons — check them daily.
Team building
- A balanced team usually includes at least one tank, one support, and high damage dealers.
- Hero position in the formation affects targeting priority and ability range.
- Synergy bonuses between heroes can dramatically increase team performance.
- Use the Team Builder tool to plan and export your setup.
Progression speed
- Log in at least twice a day to collect idle rewards, use arena entries, and feed your pet on pet talk before they hit the storage cap.
- Focus on unlocking the next major game mode rather than fully perfecting your current content.
Frequently asked questions
Yes. The game is F2P-friendly, but less so recently, because the game entered a power creep phase, and you need to pull all new heroes.
Nightmare mode becomes available after completing the lastest stage in the main campaign. The exact stage requirement changed every updates.
You summon heroes using Summon Tickets or rubies. Each limited banner has the same rate to pull the heroes.
New: The game includes a pity system that guarantees getting the hero after 1,000 summons.
Potentials are additional stat bonuses that can be applied to individual heroes using Dice items. Each hero has several potential slots up to 7, and the stats rolled are random. You can reroll potentials to aim for the most beneficial stat combinations for your build.
Yes. Seven Knights Idle Adventure is set in the same universe and features many heroes from the original Seven Knights game. However, it is a standalone title with its own mechanics and story — you do not need to have played the original to enjoy it.
