Hard Boss Challenge Guide - Seven Knights Idle Adventure
The Hard Boss Challenge is a game mode where you compose 3 teams of heroes to face a boss. It allows you to obtain insignia summon tickets. These insignias boost your heroes' HP, ATK, and critical damage.

How It Works
You face a boss with your 3 predefined teams of 15 heroes. As long as the boss is not defeated, each team faces it for a set time. If your team is defeated or time runs out, the next team enters the field to face the boss.
You start at Tier 1 and advance to the next tier for each boss defeated. The higher your tier, the more daily insignia summon tickets you receive.
There is no entry limit in this mode. You can retry each tier as many times as necessary.
There are currently 400 tiers since the 10-30 update.
The Boss
On each floor, you will always face the same boss. It will only change appearance and have higher stats, but its skills will always remain the same.

Boss Skills Analysis
As seen above, these skills allow the boss to remove all buffs from your heroes and apply debuffs. These skills must be countered, otherwise the boss will remove its curse and heal with each hit, making it impossible to kill.
Additionally, without buffs and debuffs, our heroes will deal very little damage.
Dodge Strategy
If the boss cannot hit the hero it targets, buff and debuff removals will not trigger. The strategy is to take a tank with a high dodge rate to avoid being hit.
This strategy is mainly used in the early floors of the mode (up to 80 - 100 max), because after that, the boss has so much accuracy that it will always hit you.
In this role, Radgrid is a good choice thanks to its self-buff that boosts its dodge by 200%.
Veil Strategy (Best Solution)
The other solution is to apply veil to all your heroes regularly. Because the spell effects do not apply when hitting a target with veil.
To do this, take a hero like Arang or Restia who applies veil to all allies.
The difficulty is having enough critical rate so that these heroes have enough time to continuously apply the buff in a loop without the boss landing any hits.
Because yes, in this game mode, bosses have resistance to critical hit rates, which increases proportionally with your floor.

Global Strategy
These bosses have extremely high stats, so you need a strategy adapted mainly against dodge and critical hit rate resistance.
To give you an example, I am currently stuck at floor 330, and the boss has 186% critical resistance and 1.6m evasion.
This must be taken into account when choosing your teams.
Against Evasion
It is preferable to have a hero who applies reduce evasion debuff with their active skill. Because this allows you to always apply the debuff (if you have enough accuracy) and therefore not worry about the critical strike rate.
Radgrid and Karma are extremely effective in this role.
Against Critical Hit Rate Resistance
- Put your heroes on critical hit rate trait
- Take a hero applying -36% critical rate resistance like awakened Kyle or Cat Mage Lucia
- Have a hero applying the team buff that increases critical hit rate by 36% like awakened Rachel or Siris

Team Formations
To create your formations, the best tip is to put your best heroes in team 1, then team 2. It is much more effective in terms of damage.
Here are the teams I use:
Team Explanations
My teams all use the Veil protection strategy with Arang in team 1 and Restia in team 2.
In team 1, the camera is focused on High Lord Teo. This allows him to jump at the beginning of the fight onto the boss. The boss will then only cast its spells on Teo and waste its attacks.
However, for team 2, the camera is on Restia because we want to keep all debuffs applied by team 1.
We prioritize awakened heroes in the teams for maximum damage.
For team 3, it is not very useful. It serves to scrape 1% when I am lucky. The heroes are not strong enough.
Insignia summon tickets
Insignia summon tickets are unlocked automatically on a daily basis. Just open the interface, and the tickets will be delivered to you.
For each floor completed, you will gain 5 more tickets per day. Every 20 floors, you gain 50 additional tickets.
(After a certain floor, the bonus is capped at 5).
Then go to the insignia summoning interface to spend them.

Invocation Levels
The maximum level is 23. Like hero invocation levels, for each invocation level, you gain tickets and boost your invocation chances.
| Level | Tickets |
|---|---|
| 1 | 30 |
| 2 | 60 |
| 3 | 90 |
| 4 | 120 |
| 5 | 150 |
| 6-10 | 180-300 |
| 11-23 | 300 (capped) |
For each level, the rates are modified, and you will unlock insignias with higher rarity as you progress.
For example, at level 1, you will only unlock Extra rarity insignias. Starting from level 21, you begin unlocking Legendary insignias.
Note: At level 23, the rarest obtainable insignia is "Mizar's will III" (28th). So after unlocking the insignia "Mizar's will IV", it becomes very long to unlock the last insignias, which can take several months.
Insignias
There are a total of 33 Insignias. The invocation system allows you to obtain an insignia directly. Insignias can also be constructed. You need 5 copies of a previous insignia to create one of the next level.
Each insignia has a rarity level: Extra, Normal, Rare, Epic, Unique, and Legendary. 5 insignias per rarity level, except for Legendary which has 8.

What Insignias Are For
The highest insignia gives you an ATK, HP, and defense bonus. This bonus does not stack with previous Insignias. Only the best one is taken into account.
For the critical damage bonus granted by Insignias, this is stackable.
It is therefore important to level up your Insignias to boost your stats.
Leveling Up Insignias
The maximum insignia level is 10. To level up, you must spend "Insignia Exp".
My strategy is to always prioritize leveling up the highest insignias first. This will give you a better critical damage boost.

Conclusion
This game mode is extremely important. It is imperative to focus on it until you at least unlock the maximum invocation level and insignia.
The damage bonuses are extremely significant: +10000% ATK/HP/DEF for the insignia "Mizar's will V", the 30th obtainable.
