Skill Card Guide - Seven Knights Idle Adventure

Last updated: August 2026

Introduced in the July 7, 2026 update, the Skill Card is a new way to customize your teams in Seven Knights Idle Adventure. It unlocks after completing the [Guide-38] quest, and lets you build a dedicated deck that fires off temporary combat buffs on top of your usual hero setup.

You build a deck of 10 cards. Each card has an elemental attribute (Fire, Ice, Lightning, Grass, Light, or Darkness), a score, and one or more bonus stats. For the system to activate in combat, your deck's total score cannot exceed 50.

Good to know: at the start of every fight, 5 of your 10 cards are randomly drawn. They grant their bonuses for 10 seconds, then go on a 20-second cooldown before the next draw. Matching the elements of the 5 drawn cards can multiply your bonuses up to x5.

Here is what we cover:

What is the Skill Card System?

The Skill Card System is a dedicated loadout that runs alongside your regular hero team. Instead of permanent, account-wide progression like the Title Codex, it works more like an active buff engine: you assemble a 10-card deck, and the game automatically cycles through it during combat.

  • Your deck must contain exactly 10 cards
  • Every card has an element, a score, and one or more stat bonuses
  • The system only activates if your deck's total score is 50 or less
  • Higher-rarity cards give better bonuses but cost more score
  • There are 6 card rarities and 6 elements to build around

How cards work in combat

Once your deck is active, the game handles the drawing for you. Here is the exact sequence you will see repeat throughout a fight:

  1. Combat starts — 5 of your 10 cards are drawn and their bonuses apply.
  2. 10 seconds later — the bonuses from that draw end.
  3. 10 seconds later — the system releases those 5 cards, and a new draw begins.🔄

In short, each draw stays active for 10 seconds and is followed by a 10-second gap before the next one, for a full 20-second cycle. Which stats you get depends on the 5 cards drawn, and how strong those stats are depends on the elemental synergy explained below.

Elemental synergy bonuses

Elements do not change which stat a card gives, they only decide the multiplier applied to your bonuses for that draw. Choosing the right elements in your deck is therefore essential to increase your chances of getting a good multiplier.

Elements among the 5 drawn cardsMultiplier
5 different elementsx5
2 different elements (3 + 2 split)x2.4
5 cards of the same elementx2.1
4 cards of the same elementx2.0
3 cards of the same elementx1.4
2 cards of the same elementx1.1

Card rarities and score cost

Cards are split into 6 rarities, each with a fixed drop rate from summons. The rarer the card, the stronger its bonus, but also the more score it costs, which matters since your deck is capped at 50 total score.

How to get cards

Card acquisition is more limited than most other summon systems in the game:

  • You get 30 free cards from the card summon level milestone
  • Unlike other summon systems, this one starts locked at level 1 and therefore cannot be increased.
  • Players who took part in the launch event received an extra 30 cards per day during that period (no longer available)
  • The only current way to get more cards is spending 1,000 rubies per card

Note: at 1,000 rubies per card, pulling is expensive. See the farming strategy section below before you start spending.

Upgrading cards

Cards are upgraded using duplicates, following the same star-grade system as heroes, up to a maximum of 10 stars. Upgrading a card slightly increases its bonus, but its score cost stays fixed no matter its star grade.

Which stats can cards give?

Each card grants 1 stat bonus, or 2 for Legendary-rarity cards and above. The possible stats are:

  • Critical Hit Chance
  • Vital Strike Chance (Legendary)
  • Bonus Damage Rate (High lord)
  • Movement Speed (Legendary)
  • Attack
  • Critical Hit Damage
  • Critical Hit Rate Resist
  • Defense
  • Accuracy
  • HP
  • Evasion
  • Attack speed (High lord)
  • Weakness Attack rate

Best deck building strategy

Disclaimer: this is the strategy I personally use. It won't necessarily suit every account, and it may not be fully optimal for your specific situation.

I go for a deck that leans homogeneous but stays focused on offensive stats, since damage output is what matters most in this game. My go-to versatile build is 2 Legendary + 3 Unique + 5 Epic cards, mixing Attack, Critical Hit Damage, and Critical Hit Rate so I get varied buffs, including crit, which helps a lot in Deep Nightmare.

My current deck

  • I avoid High Lord cards: at 20 score each, they are too expensive for a single deck slot
  • I stick to 2 Legendary cards max to keep the deck balanced, unless I am deliberately going for a full-RNG build
  • A full-RNG build could look like 4 Legendary cards plus a mix of Normal and Rare cards, gambling on drawing the Legendaries together

Safe vs. risky elemental strategy

There are two broad approaches to picking your cards' elements:

The safe approach

Build your deck around a maximum number of cards spread across just 2 elements. This gives you a fairly high chance of triggering the x2.4 synergy bonus consistently.

The all-or-nothing approach

This is a riskier build that i call the "gambler's strategy": spread your 10 cards across all 6 elements, for example 2 cards each on 4 elements and 1 card each on the remaining 2, and hope to draw 5 cards that are all different elements to trigger the x5 multiplier.

Get skill card multiplier x5 in fight - Seven Knights Idle Adventure
  • It works well in PvE modes where you can retry a stage multiple times
  • When you draw your 2 Legendary cards (Vital Strike bonus) together with an x5 multiplier, damage output becomes extreme
  • It is not for everyone: on some of my fights in Deep Nightmare it took me 50+ resets before the multiplier lines up 😅

Best strategy to get cards

Since cards cost rubies, and rubies are already stretched thin keeping up with every hero release and awakening each month, going all-in on card pulls is rarely worth it for a free-to-play account.

  • Aim to get to a workable deck, then stop pulling cards
  • Prioritize around 10 offensive cards, including 2 Legendary cards with Vital Strike Chance, then stop once you hit that target
  • This gives you a deck with real impact without overspending

Note: this advice is aimed at free-to-play and light spenders. If you are willing to spend heavily, pulling further for more High Lord and Legendary cards is naturally an option.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Card System worth using, or can I skip it?

No, it is not skippable. You need at least a full 10-card deck, and the combat bonuses it provides are too significant to ignore.

Can I put multiple High Lord cards in the same deck?

Technically yes, but it is not recommended. Your deck is capped at 50 total score, and 2 High Lord cards alone cost 20 score, leaving only 10 points for the remaining 8 cards. Bringing 4 Legendary cards instead is generally a better use of your score budget.

What is the maximum deck score?

Your deck's total score must stay at or below 50 for the Card System to activate in combat.
