The sole Celestial among the twelve warriors who sealed Nestra in the Abyss. During the First Celestial War, Nadan joined forces with the Celestial Guardians in their attempt to seal away the Seven Demon Lords. Later, he sought out the Power of Cycles spread throughout the land alongside Freyja. However, this resulted in the power being corrupted into the Power of Destruction. Realizing the error of his ways, Nadan chose to fight alongside Elena instead. Even after Nestra was finally sealed, Nadan chose not to return to the heavens, and instead remained on Gaia to help human civilization foster and develop.

Weakness

Take time to reach full potential

Nadan is the base version of Chosen Hero Nadan, a melee DPS hero with a unique stacking system. While he shares the same core kit as his awakened counterpart, there are significant differences that make him not viable for combat in his base form.

The awakened version receives dramatically higher damage modifiers and enhanced abilities. Without awakening, Nadan's damage output is far too low for any serious team composition. The gap between base and awakened heroes is simply too large to justify running the base version in any content.

It is worth leveling this hero up to level 100 in preparation for their awakening, which is when they truly become competitive and worth investing in. In the meantime, use them for the Codex to earn Rubies and permanent stat bonuses.

Should You Use Nadan?

Yes — Nadan can be played, but only in two modes. Thanks to his passive, Nadan does massive damage on chaos ruins and guild boss.

Strengths

Strengthening: Warrior's Oath — Active skill grants +3 stacks. Each stack provides +7.5% Attack, +7.5% Crit Rate, +7.5% Accuracy (up to 20 stacks).
Stack-based effects — At 3+ stacks: Concentrated Attack (forces allies to attack same target). At 5+ stacks: Multi-hit attacks (10 hits). At 7+ stacks: +300% final damage vs Boss in Chaos Ruins/Guild Boss.
Team buff — Active skill grants Embolden to allies (+30% Attack, +24% Accuracy).

Weaknesses

Low base damage modifiers — His damage modifiers are too low to be effective in end-game content without awakening bonuses.
Relies on stacks — His full potential (multi-hit, boss damage) requires reaching high stack counts, which takes time.
Niche bonus — His +300% boss damage only applies in Chaos Ruins and Guild Boss Battle, limiting his versatility.

Best Game Modes

  • Chaos Ruins — his best mode — the combination of +300% boss damage and Concentrated Attack forcing team focus makes him the top pick for this mode. Do not run Chaos Ruins without him.
  • Guild Boss Battle — same reasoning, the +300% final damage bonus applies here too, making him equally dominant in guild content.

Build & Optimization

Roll for Critical Hit Rate. In Abyss Expedition boss floors, enemies gain substantial Crit Rate Resist that can negate your crit builds. Exceeding 100% guarantees your Vengeance Gauge builds consistently.

Investment Advice

Early game
1 star.
Mid game
7 stars and awaken if chaos ruins is your priority.
Late game
7 stars and awaken if chaos ruins is your priority.
