Born into the esteemed Windringer Family, renowned mages of the Blazing Desert, she got trapped in a rift in space-time due to inadvertently touching an hourglass in the basement of her home. Mastering the power of time, she returned to reality two decades later, now hunting down Dellons to thwart the cataclysm she foresaw beyond the rift of time.

Multi-hit active breaks Veils
Not viable without awakening
Vanessa is the base version of Time Pilgrim Vanessa, a hero whose main purpose is to break enemy Veils through her multi-hit active skill. While she shares the same core kit as her awakened counterpart, there are significant differences that make her not viable for combat in her base form.
The awakened version receives dramatically higher damage output and the powerful Time Pilgrim system with stacking bonuses. Without awakening, Vanessa's damage is too weak to be effective - her only real utility is using her multi-hit active to break Veils, which is insufficient for any serious team composition. The gap between base and awakened heroes is simply too large to justify running the base version in any content.
It is worth leveling this hero up to level 100 in preparation for their awakening, which is when they truly become competitive and worth investing in. In the meantime, use them for the Codex to earn Rubies and permanent stat bonuses.
