In Seven Knights Idle Adventure , the Legendary tier sits right below High Lords and just above Unique heroes. It is the most important tier in the game, because the majority of your roster across all three squads will be made up of Legendary heroes, from your first week of play all the way into end-game content.
Even with Awakened heroes now available, nothing has changed on that front. Every Awakened unit must first go through the Legendary tier before it can awaken. There is no way around it.
In short: whether a hero ends up in your active lineup or sits in your collection, every single Legendary hero contributes to your account progression. This guide explains exactly how.

The jump from Unique to Legendary is substantial. Equipments , 7-line Potentials , and Advanced Potentials are all exclusive to Legendary and above, and they account for a significant portion of a hero's total power. Legendary vs Legendary+ - what is the difference? Legendary+ is the Awakened form of a Legendary hero. Not every Legendary hero has one, only a select few have received an Awakened version so far, and more are added progressively with updates.
Important: to evolve a Legendary hero into its Legendary+ form, you need Ego Stones . This is a dedicated resource that cannot be substituted, so plan your farming accordingly.
Awakened heroes are a significant power spike over their base form. If a hero you are investing in has an Awakened version available, that should factor into your prioritization. How to tell if a Legendary hero is strong? In 2026, what matters most is simple: either a hero deals massive damage , or it brings a new mechanic that changes how your team functions. Anything that does neither is probably not worth your resources.
The first thing to do when a new Legendary hero drops is to look at its Awakened kit . If the hero has no Awakened form, there is a 95% chance it is no longer meta and you can safely deprioritize it.
Rule of thumb: always evaluate a Legendary hero based on its Awakened form first. The base kit is almost irrelevant at end-game level.
Key passives to look for Once you have pulled up the Awakened kit, focus on the passives . That is where the real power is hidden. Here is what to look for, in order of priority:

Heroes that have none of the above are rarely worth a roster slot in 2026, no matter how good their active skills look on paper.
Check the updated tier list Evaluating a kit is a good start, but there is no substitute for actually testing. Numbers on paper do not always translate into real performance, especially once you factor in team synergies and the specific game modes you are pushing.

Strategy and hero prioritization Legendary heroes vs High Lords: what to prioritize in 2026? You will often hear that High Lords should always come first. That is not entirely accurate. It depends heavily on the current meta and which High Lord you are talking about.
Since the release of Awakened heroes,
High Lords have shifted from being hard DPS units to becoming DPS buffers . They are still extremely valuable, but in a supporting role rather than as your primary damage source. A good example is
High Lord Alicia , who provides +50% DoT damage, crit damage buffs, and final damage bonuses in Nightmare content. Incredible utility, but she is not the one carrying your damage output.
In a pure rewards perspective, High Lords are not the priority. Leveling a High Lord costs a significant amount of Hero Strengthening Stones and Hero EXP , far more than a standard Legendary hero. For the same investment, you get considerably more out of leveling multiple Legendary.
The current priority order looks like this:
Awakened heroes in your active lineup, always firstLegendary heroes to fill your squads and unlock progression rewardsHigh Lords once your roster is solid and the meta calls for itBuilding your 3 squads of 15 heroes Before worrying about anything else, your first concrete goal should be to level 42 Legendary heroes and distribute them across your three squads.
Here is why that number matters:
Each squad holds 15 heroes plus 1 High Lord End-game modes like Deep Nightmare Abyss Expedition up to 3 squads simultaneously Having three full squads ready is what separates mid-game players from genuine end-game progression Do not forget: Awakened heroes start back at level 0 after awakening. They need to be releveled from scratch, which means they also compete for your leveling resources. Factor that into your planning when you decide to awaken a unit.
As your account matures and your resources allow, the natural next step is to awaken your key Legendary heroes or replace weaker slots with newly obtained Awakened units. But that only makes sense once your three squads are stable and functional.
Next step: leveling your off-roster heroes Once your three squads are stable, the work does not stop there. Leveling heroes outside of your active lineup is one of the most efficient ways to progress your account through rewards, points, and the new Title system.
Codex: rewards and rubies Every hero you level unlocks Codex rewards , which include stat bonuses andrubies . To collect them as efficiently as possible, follow this simple priority rule:
In practice, this means you go through all Legendary heroes with Accuracy rewards first , then all Unique heroes with Accuracy, and so on down the tiers before moving to the next stat category.
The smartest way to start is to bring your Legendary heroes to level 50 first. Below that threshold, you do not need any Hero Strengthening Stones , which makes leveling much cheaper and accessible even for F2P players.
How many rubies do you earn by leveling a Legendary hero to level 100? You earn 4,750 rubies from levels alone by taking a Legendary hero to level 100. That number does not include any additional Codex rewards, so the actual total is higher depending on the hero.
Shard of Destruction Once all your Legendary heroes are at level 50, the next milestone is pushing them to level 100 . At that stage, you can relax the stat priority rule since you will be entering early end-game and should already have enough Accuracy stacked.
The Shard of Destruction is a game mode where you earn points by investing in your Legendary heroes. It is not just about levels though. Every upgrade you apply counts toward your point total.
Important: not all Legendary heroes generate points in Shard of Destruction. Always check before investing resources into a hero specifically for this mode.
Unless you are a whale, progress here will be gradual. Resources are tight, and that is fine. A few things you should not burn through just to push Shard points:
Equipment selection tickets Elixirs Any resource you cannot easily farm back The best approach is to invest in heroes you are actually playing. Points will come naturally as a byproduct of normal progression rather than something to chase independently.
Points you accumulate unlock Figures , each granting a stat that you place on a grid. Filling that grid opens access to even more offensive stats , making Shard one of the most impactful long-term progression systems in the game.
How many points do you earn with a hero at level 100? You earn 1 point per level , so a hero taken to level 100 gives you100 points from levels alone. For context, unlocking an Attack Stone in the Shard shop costs 510 points , so you will need several heroes at max level to get there.
Title Codex Introduced in May 2026 , the Title system is one of the best reasons to level heroes outside of your active roster. Every Legendary hero you bring to level 100 generates Title experience points , which level up your Title rank and unlock global bonuses for all your heroes.
The rewards are genuinely impactful: Crit Damage and Crit Rate bonuses that apply across your entire roster, not just a single unit.
For Legendary heroes, there are two milestone tiers:

The Tier 2 milestone is extremely resource-heavy. Fully maxing a single Legendary hero requires a large investment that most F2P players simply cannot justify on a hero that is not in their active lineup. It is a tradeoff between long-term account gains and short-term progression, and only you can decide if it is worth it at your stage of the game.
Bottom line: the Title system makes leveling off-roster heroes more valuable than ever. Every Legendary hero you bring to level 100, whether it is on your team or not, directly contributes to making your entire account stronger.

Collaboration heroes Collaboration heroes are limited units available exclusively during their respective collaboration event. Once the event ends, they are removed from standard summons and cannot be obtained through regular pulls.

Off-roster heroes to level later This section is not for beginners. Start working on these heroes once you are approaching or have reached end-game, meaning your three squads are fully built and all active heroes are atlevel 100 .
You should also have a resource buffer set aside before committing to off-roster leveling. The game releases 3 new heroes every month : two brand new units and one Awakened version of an existing Legendary hero, plus additional High Lords on top of that. Running dry on resources when a strong new hero drops is a painful situation to be in.
Only start leveling off-roster heroes when: your three squads are complete, all active heroes are level 100, and you have enough resources saved to absorb at least one new monthly release without slowing down.
