A Cat Beastkin from a different dimension, the dark mage known as Lucia is the 11th Apostle of Physis, an organization that seeks to restore order in the world by reviving the God of Destruction. Lucia's dimension was ruled over by the Ellus Empire, which came to see dark magic as a threat. As Lucia's family had passed down dark magic for generations, the empire began to oppress them, and it is rumored that Lucia joined Physis to take revenge on the world. Lucia also admires Orly, despite Orly's part in shunning dark magic. In fact, her wish is to become a figure like Orly for dark mages. According to her, that's why she always carries around an umbrella, but in truth... it's simply a precautionary measure against the rain she hates so much.

Weakness

Not viable without awakening

Lucia is the base version of Cat Mage Lucia, a unique ranged DPS hero with strong debuff stacking mechanics. While she shares the same core kit as her awakened counterpart, there are significant differences that make her not viable for combat in her base form.

The awakened version receives dramatically higher damage output and enhanced Adrenaline Rush stacking. Without awakening, Lucia's damage output is far too low for any serious team composition. The gap between base and awakened heroes is simply too large to justify running the base version in any content.

It is worth leveling this hero up to level 100 in preparation for their awakening, which is when they truly become competitive and worth investing in. In the meantime, use them for the Codex to earn Rubies and permanent stat bonuses.

Should You Use Lucia?

No — Lucia should only be leveled for Codex purposes. The power gap between base and awakened heroes is huge because of the final attack boost of 150% that she wins.

Strengths

Best Poison DPS in the game — Adrenaline Rush stacks up to 3 times with 50% multiplicative damage increase per stack. Combined with High Lord Orly's Poison boost, Lucia is the top Poison damage dealer.
Suspense damage amplification — When targets have 3+ Adrenaline Rush stacks, Lucia inflicts Suspense and deals +75% damage against affected enemies. Massive single-target burst potential.
Team damage buff — Cat's Whim grants allies +30% damage when attacking enemies affected by Lights ON, providing valuable team damage support.
Crit Rate Resist reduction — Lights ON reduces target's Crit Rate Resist by 24%, making enemies more vulnerable to critical hits from your entire team.

Weaknesses

Not viable without awakening — the base version has dramatically lower damage output compared to Cat Mage Lucia. Her active skills deal significantly less damage.
Adrenaline Rush stacking requirement — Lucia's full potential requires building up 3 stacks of Adrenaline Rush, which takes time. Without awakening, the damage is insufficient.

Best Game Modes

  • Codex — level up Lucia to 100 to unlock the awakening and earn Rubies and permanent stat bonuses.

Build & Optimization

Roll for Critical Hit Rate. In Tower of Ascension, higher floor elites have significant Crit Resist that can drop your effective crit below the threshold needed for Poison application. Build above 100% to guarantee every hit poisons.
