A demolitions expert working for Hyde Reaper who reveres colorful sparks as the world's greatest beauty. He was left an orphan by war, and before he was ten years old he was kidnapped by a criminal group and used as their demolition man. The only color in his grim life was the embers from the bombs he carried, and eventually he became fascinated by explosions themselves and began a life of crime. Before she became queen, Alicia almost captured him, but Chip managed to escape by sacrificing all his comrades. Now, he's working on a new mission with Raise.

Strength

Dual DoT applicator + 3-stack Nullify

Weakness

Outpaced + No PvP utility + Skip entirely

Chip used to be an interesting PvE pick for his ability to simultaneously apply both Bleed and Poison on every critical hit — a dual DoT applicator that was genuinely useful before dedicated DoT heroes took over. Today, he has been completely outpaced by newer releases and offers little to justify pulling or investing in him. His PvP utility is essentially nonexistent. A skip in the current meta.

Should You Use Chip?

No — completely outpaced by newer releases. Do not pull, replace as soon as possible.

Strengths

Dual DoT applicator — Bleed and Poison simultaneously — Intense Touch applies both Bleed and Poison on every successful critical hit. If you already have him and lack dedicated DoT heroes, he can feed two synergy stacks.
3-stack Nullify during active — Masterpiece grants 3 Nullify damage stacks alongside personal Attack and Crit buffs, providing modest survivability during his active window.

Weaknesses

Completely outpaced in PvE — his raw damage numbers are very low (450% crit attack, 1200% active), and dedicated DoT heroes like Cat Mage Lucia, Miraculous Fortune Teller Erin and Devourer of the End Times Fenrir apply their respective debuffs with far greater damage output simultaneously. There is no current PvE scenario where Chip is the optimal pick.
Useless in PvP — no survivability beyond the 3-stack Veil, no meaningful AOE range, no crowd control. He has nothing to offer in competitive play and should never be brought to the Arena.
Do not pull him — if you do not already have Chip, there is no reason to pull for him. Every role he fills is covered more effectively by other heroes available in the current roster.

Best Game Modes

  • Chaos Ruins (last resort only) — his dual DoT application can feed synergies in Chaos Ruins if you have no better option available. Replace him as soon as a proper DoT hero becomes accessible.

Build & Optimization

Not recommended for investment. If used, prioritize Critical Hit Rate but there are always better options.
