The lord of Moonlit Isle and the master of the Leader Sword. He ascended to the seat of lord at the tender age of eight upon the sudden demise of his parents during the great war. He started learning swordsmanship from Teo to protect his subjects. While his long training produced little progress, his determination to save his sister Daisy when she was kidnapped moved the Leader Sword. Thus he gained formidable power as the sword's master.

Weakness

Not viable without awakening

Ace is the base version of Crescent Moon Ace, one of the earlier awakened heroes in the game. While he shares the same core kit as his awakened counterpart, there are significant differences that make him not viable for combat in his base form.

The awakened version receives a massive damage boost, significantly stronger team buffs, and key mechanics like the powerful Engraving: Orochi debuff, buff removal, and survivability tools. Without awakening, Ace's damage output is far too low for any serious team composition. The gap between base and awakened heroes is simply too large to justify running the base version in any content.

It is worth leveling this hero up to level 100 in preparation for their awakening, which is when they truly become competitive and worth investing in. In the meantime, use them for the Codex to earn Rubies and permanent stat bonuses.

Should You Use Ace?

No — Ace should only be leveled for Codex purposes. The power gap between base and awakened heroes is too large to justify running him in any team composition.

Strengths

Self-buffs on crit — Blood Moon grants +30% final Attack and +60% final Accuracy on critical hits, boosting Ace's personal damage.
Attack Speed buff — Yacha's Strength grants +24% Critical Hit Rate and +24% Attack Speed to self, providing some personal utility.

Weaknesses

Not viable without awakening — the base version has dramatically lower damage output compared to Crescent Moon Ace. His critical hits and active skill deal significantly less damage.
Weaker team buffs — the base version grants lower Attack Speed and lacks the powerful team buffs the awakened version provides.
No Engraving: Orochi — the awakened version has the powerful Engraving: Orochi debuff that deals massive DoT, but it requires the target to be Bleeding first. The base version lacks this entirely.
No survivability tools — the awakened version has Nullify stacks for survivability and can remove enemy buffs, while the base version has none of these tools.

Best Game Modes

  • Codex — level up Ace to 100 to unlock the awakening and earn Rubies and permanent stat bonuses.

Build & Optimization

Roll for Critical Hit Rate. Due to enemy critical hit resistance in late-game content like Abyss Expedition, aim for higher than 100% effective Critical Hit Rate to ensure consistent critical hits.

FAQ

Is Ace worth pulling?

Only if you plan to awaken him. The base version is not viable for combat.

What makes Ace unique?

Melee DPS with self-buffs on critical hits (Blood Moon: +30% Attack, +60% Accuracy), and self Attack Speed/Crit buff (Yacha's Strength). No Poison, no chain attacks, no stealth in base version.

Is Ace playable without awakening?

No — the base version is not viable. The power gap between base and awakened heroes is too large to justify running him in any team composition.

Should I awaken this hero?

Yes — awakening transforms Ace into a functional secondary DPS with team Attack Speed buffs, the powerful Engraving: Orochi debuff, and survivability tools. It is essential for his viability.
