An ice spirit who used to rule the Frozen Land. She reportedly was killed by her son, Spike. She established her own kingdom beyond human reach by utilizing her immense magical powers and a mystical mirror. For an undisclosed reason, she briefly emerged in the known world as a Guardian of the Sealing Stone, before going back to the icy realm. Later on, she fell in love with Gelidus, one of the old Seven Knights, and gave birth Spike.

Strength

Team-wide Paralysis Immunity

Weakness

Very low damage output and no meaningful role outside Deep Nightmare

Lania is a Legendary-tier Support hero. Her kit centers on a passive that grants team-wide Crowd Control Immunity against Paralysis and an active Critical Hit Attack that applies Frostbite to targets in a small area.

Her niche is narrow but real: she is one of the only heroes who can protect the entire team from Paralysis, making her a genuine solution in Deep Nightmare. Outside this context, she has no meaningful role.

Should You Use Lania?

Yes — but exclusively at end-game for Deep Nightmare, specifically to counter a boss. She is not recommended in any other mode or at earlier stages of progression.

Strengths

Team Paralysis Immunity — passive grants immunity to Paralysis for the entire team.
Frostbite application — Critical Hit Attack applies Frostbite in a small AOE, enabling synergies with heroes that scale off Frostbitten targets.

Weaknesses

Negligible damage output — both Basic Attack and Critical Hit Attack deal very low damage, contributing almost nothing offensively.
No role outside Deep Nightmare — Lania is irrelevant in all other current game modes and should not be invested in for general content.
Inconsistent Frostbite application — Frostbite lasts only 1 second and is tied to critical hits in a small AOE, making it unreliable as a primary DoT enabler.

Why Lania Stands Out

Lania's relevance is entirely tied to Deep Nightmare. Endymion's Illusion is a recurring boss that applies Paralysis. Lania's passive is one of the only tools that resolves this encounter cleanly, giving her a genuine end-game slot.

Best Game Modes

  • Deep Nightmare — Lania's primary and only relevant game mode. Essential for countering Paralysis mechanic.
  • All other modes — not recommended. Lania has no meaningful role outside Deep Nightmare.

Build & Optimization

Prioritize Critical Hit Rate to maximize Frostbite application frequency from her Critical Hit Attack. Even with a build focused on maximizing critical hit chance, it will be very difficult to consistently land critical hits in the late game.

FAQ

Is Lania worth pulling?

Only if you are at end-game. She is a specialist pick and not worth investing in at earlier stages.

What does Lania do?

She provides team-wide CC Immunity — including Paralysis — and applies Frostbite on critical hits in a small AOE area.

Why is Lania useful in Deep Nightmare?

To counter boss that applies Paralysis and greater when it can't be countered by a veil strategy on the team. Lania's passive immunity is one of the only reliable solutions to this encounter, making her specifically valuable in this mode.

Can I replace Lania with another Support?

Yes and no. While Undercover Ruri and Awakened Rauha share the same Paralysis Immunity passive and offer better overall survivability, Lania remains essential.

Since Deep Nightmare requires three separate teams, you need three distinct heroes with this specific immunity. Lania effectively fills that third slot, making her a "must-build" for full clears, even if she is technically the weakest of the three.

What is Lania good for outside Deep Nightmare?

Nothing — she has no meaningful role in any other current game mode.
