When Elke failed to return after leaving to look for cooking tools, Ponpo, dressed up for the one-year anniversary of Elke's Adventure Party's formation, set out to look for her on the deck of the ship. He found Elke, who had succeeded in collecting various knickknacks by holding them in her upturned hat, but had failed to return because she was lost in the view through the looking-glass at the stern.
