The youngest member of the Night Crows. A descendant of a family of spirit mages who guarded the Mother Tree in the Mystic Woods. After a mysterious monster attacked the woods, black spots appeared on her body. Thinking that it was an ill omen, she was banished from the forest. Karl Heron, who happened to be passing by, took her under his wing and made her a member of the Night Crows, but it seems like she doesn't have any actual duties so far.

Ambush buff for Ranged allies + Tense CC

Weakness

Low damage output, outclassed by alternatives

Iris is a Ranged Type Legendary hero from the Night Crows faction with a kit centered around team support through the Ambush buff and crowd control via Tense. Her Lunar Tiger Fire Cart provides a 600% damage AOE while granting Ambush Lv. 5 to Ranged allies, increasing their Weakness Attack damage by 20%. Additionally, her Critical Hit Attack delivers multi-hit damage with a +50% final damage bonus against Melee targets.

Despite these interesting mechanics, Iris struggles to make an impact in the current meta. Her active skill damage is modest, and she lacks the raw damage output or utility to compete with higher-tier Ranged DPS heroes. She functions best as a niche support in specific Ranged team compositions, but better alternatives exist for both damage and support roles.

Should You Use Iris?

No — Iris is a niche pick at best. While her Ambush support for Ranged allies and Melee damage bonus are interesting, her overall damage output and team contribution fall short of current meta standards. Focus your resources on higher-tier heroes.

Strengths

Ranged ally Ambush buff — Lunar Tiger Fire Cart grants Ambush Lv. 5, increasing Ranged allies' Weakness Attack damage by 20% for 10 seconds.
Melee damage bonus — Critical Hit Attack grants +50% final damage against Melee Type targets, providing meaningful damage against the most common enemy type.
Tense crowd control — Lunar Tiger Fire Cart applies Tense, preventing the target from attacking or using skills for a short duration.
Multi-hit damage — Her active skill deals damage over 30 hits, which can help stack debuffs faster in prolonged fights.

Weaknesses

Low damage output — her active skill damage is too low to serve as a primary damage dealer, and her overall kit does not compensate for this weakness.
Limited Ranged-only buff — her Ambush buff only applies to Ranged allies, limiting her utility in mixed team compositions.
No survivability — lacks Veil, revive, or self-healing tools that would benefit her in extended content.

Why Iris Stands Out

Iris's niche lies in her combination of Ambush support for Ranged allies and Melee damage bonus. While neither mechanic is powerful enough to make her a top-tier pick, she offers a unique combination of Weakness Attack support for Ranged teams and crowd control through Tense that is otherwise hard to find at her tier level. However, the numbers simply do not match the power curve of current meta heroes.

Best Game Modes

  • Codex only — Iris lacks the damage or utility to be effective in any major game mode. Her niche as a Ranged support is too limited to justify a team slot.

Build & Optimization

Focus on Critical Hit Rate to ensure consistent damage output and maximize her multi-hit damage potential. Attack and Critical Damage are secondary priorities to enhance her burst potential. This build works in general content, though higher-tier heroes are recommended for end-game.
