A grand general who was crowned as the king of the Crimson Canyon. His formidable strength and outstanding leadership earned him the respect of even Lu Bu, one of the Four Lords. He and Lu Bu used to rule the Crimson Canyon together. When Lu Bu went away to fight in the war against the Seven Knights, Guan Yu enlisted talented generals like Zhao Yun and Zhuge Liang to suppress a rebellion in Lu Bu's absence. As a man who prefers meticulous planning, he often clashes with the impulsive Lu Bu.

Weakness

Very limited utility

Guan Yu is a Defense Type hero from the Heroes of the Three Kingdom series focused on survivability. His Critical Hit Attack grants 3-stack Veil for 10 seconds, providing consistent protection. His passive grants Immortal when fallen once per battle and Stun/Knock Back immunity to allies.

While he has decent survivability with Veil on crits and a one-time Immortal trigger, his damage contribution is minimal, making him purely a niche tank. Released November 2023.

Should You Use Guan Yu?

No — Guan Yu should only be leveled for Codex purposes. His damage output is too low for meaningful contribution in any serious team composition.

Strengths

Team CC immunity — grants Stun and Knock Back immunity to all allies, useful against specific boss mechanics.
Veil on crit — gains 3-stack Veil for 10 seconds on every critical hit, providing consistent survivability.
One-time Immortal — triggers once when fallen, potentially saving runs in niche situations.

Weaknesses

Very limited utility — CC immunity is too situational to be valuable in most content.
One-time Immortal — triggers only once per battle, making it unreliable for sustained fights.
No damage output — provides no meaningful damage to help clear content faster.

Why Guan Yu Stands Out

Guan Yu stands out primarily for his team CC immunity, which is a rare buff type in Seven Knights Idle Adventure. However, this niche utility does not translate to strong performance in any particular game mode, limiting his overall value in the current meta.

Best Game Modes

  • Codex only — no viable game mode

Build & Optimization

Roll for Critical Hit Rate to maximize Veil generation. In Deep Nightmare, Nightmare, Abyss Expedition, Hard boss challenge, and Tower of Ascension, consistent crits ensure constant Veil stacks for survivability.
